University library: driving research and innovation

Client: Library of Human Sciences and Letters (University of Montreal) - 2024

Mandat

Develop the role of the library as a research partner through a detailed diagnosis of researchers' needs

Deliverable

  • Diagnostic report
  • Service offering proposal
  • Guiding principles

Comparative research

In a proactive approach, the library team conducted a comparative analysis of research support services offered by leading institutions. Our team was then able to develop tailor-made workshop tools based on these examples.

Co-design workshops

We invited librarians and people from the research community in the social sciences, humanities and literature sectors to imagine the future of the library and research support services.

Deux chercheurs participants aux ateliers de co-design organisent des cartes sur un table pour prioriser des exemples de service. L'un des chercheurs pointe vers l'une des cartes.

Diagnosis and recommendations

We presented a report detailing the insights from the workshops including user needs, examples of similar services and guiding principles for researcher-friendly services.

For a better world, one project at a time.
