Supporting the library in improving the coexistence between users
We analyzed information on user incidents and social interventions collected by the library. In parallel, we conducted observation sessions to better understand conflict situations and areas of tension on premises.
We facilitated a focus group with community partners to gather information on social issues and related needs encountered at and around the library. We conducted individual interviews and a focus group with library staff to better understand conflict situations and the impact of these issues on their daily lives. We also met with the community outreach worker to gather more specific information on the needs of users experiencing social exclusion.
In collaboration with library staff, we surveyed a sample of Drummondville residents to understand their perceptions and/or concerns related to library usage.
We facilitated a workshop with various library stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving coexistence between users and a second workshop to prioritize solutions identified in alignment with the overall vision of the library as a place of inclusion.
