In situ participatory installation
For just over a week, we installed visual materials and simple exercises at the library entrance to collect ideas from students. Using inspirational images, we led discussions with library visitors.
For just over a week, we installed visual materials and simple exercises at the library entrance to collect ideas from students. Using inspirational images, we led discussions with library visitors.
We invited librarians and people from the health research community to imagine the future of the library and its research support services.
Drawing inspiration from our discussions with different types of users of the premises, we proposed a concept map of the space and identified four guiding principles to inform the vision for the space and orient the architectural teams in the redesign of the library.
From facilities that promote work in its various forms to specialized spaces to support research, including facilities that promote well-being or enable the enhancement of collections, we documented 19 opportunities to renew the library experience for the student and research community.
