Development of the experiential vision for the space

Through a series of surveys and co-design workshops conducted with citizens, community organizations, employees and elected officials, we developed an inspiring vision statement and nine guiding principles to serve as the basis for the project. This consultation also led to the planning and categorization of uses needed to materialize the overall experience of the site as envisioned by users.

Definition of human criteria to inform the FTP

We met with each community organization individually to fully understand their needs so we could design a living environment that would be appropriate for their use. We then defined organizational charts that highlighted the links between each function of a hub and the criteria for a human experience that that would inform the FTP. We also developed three types of administrative offices.

Évaluation de l’expérience citoyenne :
comité technique concours Espace Rivière

Because of Meilleur Monde's comprehensive understanding of the vision and features intended for the future users of the space, we were invited to sit in on the technical committee during the evaluation of finalist proposals for the Espace Rivière competition. Our mandate was specifically to evaluate the citizen experience, including that of community organizations with whom we had worked extensively beforehand.

Optimization of architectural sketches

Once the winning team of the architectural competition was selected, Meilleur Monde was called upon to collaborate with the designers to refine their architectural sketches. Since architects and engineers can quickly end up buried under an impressive number of technical constraints, our role was to keep the user experience in mind in order to converge on a concept that was both efficient and human.

For a better world, one project at a time.
